DCM Visits Iraq National Museum
Staff from the Public Affairs Section accompanied Deputy Chief Of Mission, Ambassador Robert Ford on a visit to the Iraq National Museum in Baghdad on August 9th. The Public Affairs Office has multiple on-going projects at the museum as part the of the Iraq Cultural Heritage Project (ICHP), including repairing the air conditioning system, upgrading exhibit halls and storage rooms and providing professional training to archaeologists and conservators. PAS and Iraqi staff showed DCM Ford how ICHP is supporting cultural heritage initiatives throughout Iraq.
