Ambassador's Message on Death of Paul Converse

It is with the deepest regret that I must announce the tragic loss on Monday, March 24, 2008 of our colleague Paul Converse, a U.S. civilian employee, who worked in Baghdad for the Special Inspector General for Iraq Reconstruction (SIGIR), and previously as the IRMO Provincial Program Manager for the Najaf and Diwaniyah Provincial Support Teams at Al-Hillah. Mr. Converse succumbed to injuries he sustained during one of the rocket attacks on Sunday, March 23.
Please join me in extending our deepest condolences to his friends and family, and our profound appreciation for the ultimate sacrifice that he has made in service to his country and for the people of Iraq.
