Receiving your Passport by DHL

Immigrant (IV) and Nonimmigrant Visa (NIV) applicants approved for visa issuance will receive their passports, visas, and documents via DHL Courier without having to return to the U.S. Embassy. The Embassy will notify the applicant via email when the passport has been shipped via DHL.

You must prepay for your shipment at the nearest DHL location in order for us to send your passport with visas to you by DHL. Make sure you specify the weight of the package and bring a copy of your prepaid Airway Bill.

Check with the nearest DHL office to see if you can have the passport sent directly to your home or to the nearest DHL office. Please note that only the person or persons whose name (s) are specified on the airway bill will be authorized to receive the package from DHL. The DHL office will verify your identity; please be prepared to present identification documents to DHL.
