Update regarding the Special Immigrant Visa (SIV) Program
The Iraqi SIV program benefiting individuals who have been employed by, or on behalf of, the U.S. government has been extended through the passage of the National Defense Authorization Act (NDAA). Please click here to review the relevant information on the SIV program extension prior to submitting an SIV-related question.
Check the Status of your SIV or IV Application Online
Immigrant (IV) and Special Immigrant Visa (SIV) applicants can now check the status of their pending visa applications online. For more information, please click here.
Given that visa applicants can now track the status of their case online, the Immigrant Visa Unit will no longer respond to inquiries requesting a case status update for IV and SIV applications.
Submitting an Inquiry
All other inquiries to the Immigrant Visa Unit must be submitted using the form shown below. The IV Unit will endeavor to respond within 4-5 business days from the receipt of your inquiry. Please do not submit your inquiry more than once, as this may increase the wait time for a response.
