U.S. Embassy Baghdad is sponsoring seven Iraqis to attend the 2011 EducationUSA Triennial Middle East and North Africa Conference in Doha, Qatar in April called Opening Doors through Education.  A representative from each of the official scholarship programs in Iraq and the Embassy Education Adviser will update more than 50 U.S. university representatives about Iraqi higher education.  Four Iraqi Student Advisers, university faculty and teachers trained on the U.S. university system, will also attend the Conference.  Eight other university leaders from six Iraqi universities will attend a special 2-day workshop that will help create linkages between U.S. and local universities.
