Baseball Bridges Cultures
“Play Ball” was the theme at the Embassy on July 17 when a donation of baseball equipment to the Iraqi Baseball Federation was announced by Minister-Counselor Martin Quinn. The equipment was provided by Major League Baseball and the NGO Pitch In For Baseball to assist the Federation and help establish a Little League in Iraq. The donation includes bats, balls, helmets, gloves, catcher’s gear, bases, and uniforms.
